Former Centennial teammates Rob Johnson (Norfolk State) and Lorenzo Brown (NC State) faced each other in NCAA Division I regular season play. Both would earn conference honors and help their teams reach the NCAA tournament — the first Centennial players to play in March Madness. But not the last.
Centennial has a great basketball history that started shortly after the doors opened and continues today with an active Jr. Knights program and a high school program that competes every year against the highly talented Atlanta area. Below are the stories of the players and teams that built that legacy — some tremendous talent, and plenty of stories about the determination, hard work, and commitment it takes to make it to the next level, in basketball and in life.
